A Personal Note

Why We Built This

Taqen wasn't born in a boardroom or from a business plan. It started in early Ramadan 2026 — a quiet season of reflection — when a group of school friends from Rangpur looked at what existed in Islamic fashion and felt something was missing. Not just products, but meaning. Not just clothing, but stories worth wearing.

We saw a market full of Arabic text printed on generic shirts and art that looked mass-produced rather than crafted. What we couldn't find was a brand that treated the Muslim customer as someone who thinks — someone who wants to learn, not just represent. So we built one. The name itself comes from taqwa — God-consciousness — reshaped into something new. That was always the intention behind it.

We built Taqen from phones, between study sessions, with no outside funding and no guarantee of success. Our families don't all know yet. We have no sales yet. But we have a clear vision, a team of people we trust completely, and a belief — drawn from Surah Ar-Ra'd — that nothing changes until you decide to change it yourself.
